You can choose from nine different metal options. Metals come in white or yellow color and in a Natural or Black Antique finish.
Yellow metal with Black Antique Finish
Yellow metal with Natural Finish
White metal with Black Antique Finish
White metal with Natural Finish
All our metals are blended and cast in their solid form and polished to their natural state. That is, there is no plating or coating of any kind over the surface of the metals. This means that rings made with these metals can always be re-polished to their original natural shine. In addition, rings made in silver or gold can be re-sized to different finger sizes as required.
GOLD: 6KY, 10KTY, 10KTW, 14KTY, 14KTW, 18KTY
Pure gold is generally too soft to be used for jewelry so other metals (alloys) are added.
The karat system is used to state the amount of pure gold found in any blend.
- 24 karat (24KT) is pure gold.
- 18 karat (18KT) is 18 parts pure gold and 6 parts alloys (75% pure gold).
- 14 karat (14KT) is 14 parts pure gold and 10 parts alloys (58.3% pure gold).
- 10 karat (10KT) is 10 parts pure gold and 14 parts alloys (41.7% pure gold).
- 6 karat ( 6KT) is 6 parts pure gold and 18 parts alloys (25% pure gold)
Different colors of alloys lead to different colors overall. Our rings can be ordered in your choice of yellow or white gold. In either case, the karat content is the same.
When ordering, the terms we use are:
Metal Code |
Description |
6KTY |
6KT Yellow gold |
10KTY |
10KT Yellow gold |
10KTW |
10KT White gold |
14KTY |
14KT Yellow gold |
14KTW |
14KT White gold |
18KTY |
18KT Yellow gold |
NOTE: Our rings can be ordered in 18KT but we actually do not recommend it. 18KT is still a very soft metal and if you are not careful, you can actually rub away some of the finer details on your ring. However, we recognize that in some cultures, this is the most popular mixture so we do make it available.
STERLING SILVER: SS, TRSS
Pure silver is too soft to use in its pure state and alloy is added to strengthen it. Sterling Silver contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% alloy. We offer two types of Sterling Silver.
Regular Sterling Silver has copper as the alloy and does naturally tarnish but can be cleaned with readily available silver cleaners. We also offer a Tarnish Resistant Sterling Silver with a special alloy additive that prevents tarnishing and makes the metal harder.

JEWELLERS STAINLESS STEEL: JST
Also know as "Surgical Stainless Steel" but the technical designation is "AISI 316L Stainless Steel". This is the highest grade of Stainless Steel that can be used in jewelry and does not require plating or coating.
It is a very hard, durable metal and very tarnish resistant making it an excellent option for our rings. The only drawback is that since the metal is so hard, the finger size cannot be changed once the ring is made.
NOTE: Many companies offer jewelry in "stainless steel" but few use this grade as it is very difficult to work with. Lower grade stainless steel must be coated or plated or they will discolor and tarnish. Plating rings is like adding a thin coat of paint that will eventually rub away.
